Top Chinese Advertising Awards and Festival to Expand Globally

Beijing--TheIAI Festival (Advertising/Marketing/Branding),which will be held for its 19th Anniversary in May 2019 in Beijing, China, isadding international entries to all of its categories of eligible companies andorganizations, as long as they are selling to the Chinese consumer market.

"Aswe have expanded our recognition of the top efforts in the travel industry herein China," said Jane Zhao, Executive President of IAI Awards, "it hasbecome very apparent that the many international companies, destinations, andtravel products seeking Chinese business should be included."

For the19th IAI Advertising Awards, entries will be accepted starting from 1st October2018 from any advertisers, advertising agencies, or organizations focused onthe Chinese market.  Judges capable of judging entries in languages otherthan Chinese will be added from the global community of industry leaders. Among theawards given are ones in the following categories: Advertising Works, DigitalMarketing Cases, Public Services, Organizations. The Advertising Works includeall traditional creative works such as film/graphics and new categories like UIdesign; Digital Marketing Cases including over 20 categories from integratedmarketing case, mobile marketing case to social marketing case, contentmarketing case. Those marketing cases consist of most of IAI annual awards byrecognized and preferred by advertisers and advertising companies.

In thefirst eighteen years, the Festival included the award presentations,related activities, and the publication of an annual IAI Yearbook, which makesavailable the works of the winners to the general public, the industry, andacademia.

The Awardsand Festival are organized by the International Advertising Institute(Communication University of China)based in Beijing.  The IAI Travel Awardsare co-sponsored by the following leading mass marketing companies:  Weibo, Sina, iQIYI, NetEase, Mango TV,Tencent, Baidu.

A specialfocus will be placed on tourism advertisers in the Western Hemisphere, who havemade significant efforts to attract Chinese customers.  To accomplishthis, Stephen B. Richer, who is a past tourism director of both New Jersey andNevada, a winner of the Marketing 100 Award given by Advertising Age Magazine,and the current director of public relations and communications for SkalInternational USA, has been named Western Hemisphere Director to increaseparticipation from companies based there.

"Itis clear that all of the key destinations and travel industry organizations inthe Western Hemisphere are putting a special emphasis on the Chinesemarket," said Richer.  "This competition and the Annual Festivalwill give top efforts recognition that there are results for those investing inChina.  It's a natural outgrowth of both the past national competition andwhat is happening in China now."
